New on Sports Illustrated: 2020 Fantasy Football Bust Alert: Le’Veon Bell

Fantasy football players should avoid drafting the Jets veteran running back this season.

In his first season with the Jets, running back Le’Veon Bell posted a career low 3.2 yards per carry and finished with 789 yards on the ground, the second lowest yardage total of his career. The Jets may have beefed up their offensive line but it’s pretty clear head coach Adam Gase does not want to just use one running back. The Jets signed Frank Gore and drafted La’Mical Perine this offseason. Bell should still lead Gang Green in all categories in the backfield but the presence of Gore and Perine will prevent him from reaching true stud stats. Considering Bell is getting drafted in the middle-to-late third round, fantasy managers will be expecting borderline RB1 type stats from Bell but instead will be met with low-end RB2 or even flex type stats. Sports Illustrated’s fantasy football analyst Michael Fabiano and

editor of JetsCoutnry Kristian Dyer discuss Le’Veon Bell’s fantasy outlook in 2020.
